COOROIBAH GRANNY FLAT

Still currently under construction. A tiny 1 Bedroom, secondary dwelling designed to house the client’s daughter returning home to the Sunshine Coast to study. The little apartment is consciously built with the ability to adapt to eventually become a literal ‘granny flat’ to accommodate an ageing grandparent, the structure rather than employing a standard set of stairs has kept this future evolution in mind instead employing an access ramp to make life easier for the potential elderly future occupant. The building was designed with universal access design principals, oversized 900 wide door leafs, and a bathroom which could easily be retrofitted with grab rails and other various PWD requirements if required.
